26/11 ...One year of Mumbai Attack

The nation is paying homage to the people who lost their lives in the terror attack last year on 26/11 .The attacks began on 26 November 2008 and lasted until 29 November, killing at least 173 people and wounding more than 300.Everybody knows who are behind these attacks.

India's First H1N1 Drug Launched

A breakthrough has been achieved by the Indian pharmaceutical company Cipla Ltd, by launching its product named Antiflu, in response to H1N1 virus on Wednesday dated 11th November, 2009.Antiflu is the only product to officially get nod from World Health Organization.This product launch has come in wake of H1N1 virus attaining pandemic status.

A 7-match ODI series between India and Australia is starting from tomorrow ,on sunday 25 oct.This series contain 2 Days and 5 Day-Night matches.First match will be palyed in Reliance Stadium, Vadodara.This is a Day match.

Global warming is one of the most serious challenges facing us today.There has been a increase in the average temperature of earth in the past century. The temperature of the globe had been increased more than 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1900 and its speed is increasing.


Here,in India,its summer season and the temperature of most of the places is around 40-44 degree Celsius,much more than previous years.This time the temperature is breaking all its previous records and creating new once.The condition in desert area like in Rajasthan is even more worse.There the temperature is around 45-48 degree Celsius.

India's number one carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited unveiled the much-awaited Ritz.Ritz will be the first passenger car in India to be compliant with the BS-IV emission norms, in petrol as well as diesel variants. The Ritz has been designed for India. Maruti Suzuki engineers worked with the Suzuki design team in Japan to design the car.

Oracle is planning to buy Sun Microsystems .For this Oracle is giving $7.4 billion.With this it come to no.2 ,after IBM,in high end server makers. This deal came when the deal between IBM and Sun failed.
During the past few years Oracle took many other companies such as BEA Systems ,i-flex,etc.

Navratras.....Hindu's New Year

This celebration in honor of the goddess,the mother of the world, begins on the first day of Ashvin,and continues for nine days. She is known by many names: Kali, Laxmi, Sarasvati ,Chandi-ka, Durga, Bhavani, Ambika, Ashtabhuja.Her main task is to punish the wicked.She is sitting on a lion. Her weapons are the shul(pike),chakra(wheel),parshu(axe) and talvar(sword). Kali is known as Mahisha-surmardini,the slayer of the demon Mahishasur.The fight against the demon begins on the first day until he is defeated on the ninth day.

Navratras are celebrations of Maa Durga.Navratras are observed twice a year. The first set of Navratras are celebrated in March & April and the second in September & October.
